A stitch in time and all that

Maintenance is the common denominator required for HO model railroad operation. There are a number of area’s that require a few small changes to make them more reliable. The purpose of this section is to identify and potentially quantify some of these small changes.

These can be as simple as which Kadee coupler and some options for its installation. Here robust will likely be a large factor in selecting the options.

Also included will be schemes to keep the car chassis from plunging into the car shell, resulting in coupler pocket and under carriage damage.

There are many areas like this that I see and fix. These are topics that I will explore, but as always I’m open to ideas and suggestions.
