An extensive examination of a ScaleTrains “Operator” BNSF SD40-2 Diesel engine has been posted here:
This engine was chosen, because it is from a recent release from a manufacturer with high esteem. It is a part 1 examination. Which is in as received condition.
There are planned to be several parts as follows:
part 2- consisting of a clean, lubricate and adjust activity. This was highlighted in discussions about the Grade & Train Length experiments. This has been shown to have a good impact in previous studies.
part 3- will be to vary the weights in three increments up to a 16+ ounce increase.
Additional options will be included as appropriate.
